About Us

About Us

Dr. Wolfgang Hinz & Mr. Jesse van Nek introduce to you the Personality, Balance & Identity (PBI) program which teaches nine personality types, helping individuals balance their traits and foster better understanding of themselves and others.

Our approach

We provide insight into the nine personality types and how they interact. Our goal is to help individuals enhance their self-awareness, improve their relationships, and achieve personal & professional growth through understanding.

Why PBI?

PBI equips you with the tools to identify personality traits in yourself and others, improving communication and collaboration. Understanding these dynamics is key to personal and professional success.

Our mission

Our mission is to empower people to harness their unique personality traits and foster a community of understanding that supports individual and collective growth.

Founder of the PBI Institute | Creator of PBI Method | Mathematician and Engineer | Author | Computer Scientist

He was managing director of well-known family-owned companies such as Hilti, Fissler, and Gebrüder Röchling before focusing on renovation projects.

He has used the PbI method in his ten turnaround projects, achieving a high success rate. His motto: “If the turnaround can’t be achieved within 12 months, it becomes increasingly unlikely.”

Wolfgang Hinz recognized early on that technical expertise alone is not enough in leadership roles, but must be complemented by human skills. Process-oriented leadership culture and personnel development are his main areas of focus. He has written ten books on these topics ( see Books ).

Today, Wolfgang Hinz lives half-yearly on Lake Starnberg and on Australia’s Sunshine Coast. He is available pro bono as a mentor for all questions related to pbi.

His favorite topics are leadership skills and personnel development, as well as the balance between thinking, feeling, and acting.
